Devon fisherman Marc Newton, 35, from Beer, astonished the fishing community by catching an ultra-rare blue lobster twice within 12 days—a feat with estimated odds of one in two million. Sharing his find online, Newton asked followers, "What do you think? Same or a different one?"

The blue lobster's vivid cobalt hue results from a genetic mutation causing overproduction of a specific protein. Typically, lobsters are brown or green, aiding camouflage. Newton's double catch has led some to joke that the lobsters are 'queueing up' for his net.

Marine biologists estimate the chance of catching a blue lobster at about one in two million, making Newton's consecutive catches akin to winning the lottery twice in a fortnight.
