2 months left as Florida feces dumping house sits condemned

Brevard County condemned a house in Indialantic, Florida after neighbors reported human waste dumped in their yards along Atlantic Avenue. The homeowner, Sonja Kopriva, was removed weeks ago after complaints that feces were collected in a bucket and spread outside with help from another man. “She defecates in a bucket, and then this guy walks around and dumps it around wherever he chooses,” Susan Brennan said. Kopriva told community correspondent James Sparvero in November that she was sick and needed help, and neighbors said her removal brought relief mixed with fear. Residents worry the condemned house still attracts rats, and sheriff deputies said Kopriva can return only with a contractor to repair or demolish the property.
