Volusia Deputy Erica Muzzy Arrested Riding Motorcycle With Fake ‘CHASEM3’ Tag

Volusia County Deputy Erica Muzzy arrested after riding a motorcycle sporting a fake ‘CHASEM3’ tag on I-4 near Deltona. The off-duty deputy, stopped at 11:07 p.m., had joined a group at a WaWa before the wild midnight ride led to her resignation. “Fictitious tag,” deputies said.
After leaving the WaWa with other riders, Muzzy chose a counterfeit tag over calling a tow truck, leading to a $2,500 bond and the Volusia County jail. The sheriff’s office is now scrutinizing her social media for reckless motorcycle stunts—law enforcement’s new viral sensation.
Muzzy had worked as a Volusia deputy since 2021, most recently in DeLand and northwest Volusia.
