Wyoming Prison Baseball Team Won Every Game While Playing for Their Lives

Back in 1911, Wyoming State Penitentiary assembled its own All Stars baseball team composed entirely of inmates, including condemned men. The team astonishingly won every game, motivated by the promise that their performance might delay or even commute sentences.
Coach George Saban—a convicted murderer missing several fingers—watched as fellow inmate George Seng, the team’s star, pitched for his life. Their undefeated streak ended abruptly after a wave of public outrage, but the “Death Row All Stars” became prison lore, sparking viral interest in prison baseball legends.
