In Nonthaburi, a woman stumbled upon 12 million baht in cash concealed within a plastic box near her condominium's trash area. The discovery has prompted a police investigation to determine the money's origin and any potential links to criminal activity.

The cash, consisting of neatly stacked 1,000 baht notes, was found beneath a pile of clothes inside the box. A man has since come forward claiming ownership, stating he mistakenly left it out after dealing with recent flooding in his unit.

Authorities are investigating possible connections to bribes or tax evasion, and the finder could receive a reward of up to 600,000 baht if the rightful owner isn't verified.
