In an unexpected twist, Milwaukee's urban landscape became the backdrop for a 200-pound sheep's daring escape, turning city streets into a makeshift racetrack. The woolly fugitive, spotted sprinting down Forest Home Avenue, had officers in hot pursuit, creating a scene reminiscent of a live-action cartoon.

The chase concluded near 23rd and Rogers, where the exhausted sheep was corralled into a transport van. "He was booking it! Even the officer who brought him in said he was really running down Forest Home," remarked MADACC representative Kate Hartlund. The sheep, now cooling off under shade with ample water, awaits reunion with its owner or adoption by a local farm.

This urban escapade adds to a growing list of livestock breakouts, including a New Jersey incident where seven sheep escaped a slaughterhouse, ending up near a Dunkin' Donuts and Sealy Mattress store before their rescue.
