Bangkok Snakes Unleashed Over Noisy Dog Ban, Condo Fines Follow

Bangkok snakes caused a stir when an irate condo resident released 2 large reptiles in a no-pets building on May 20, protesting a neighbor’s barking dog. The video, filmed outside an apartment door, quickly went viral, prompting a wave of online reactions and management intervention.
Management fined the dog owner 10,000 baht and issued a formal warning to the snake owner after the viral snake protest. Online, one user quipped, “If they fine only the snake owner, they might find snakes in their office next,” as residents imagined reptiles crawling into meetings.
The snake owner threatened to “bring more” snakes if pet complaints were ignored, escalating the animal feud.
