After the 443-foot NCL Salten grounded near Trondheim, a neighbor roused Helberg by phone. The container ship, previously stranded twice elsewhere, damaged only a heating pipe. Police continue to probe the bizarre incident, which left 16 crew members unharmed but locals wide-eyed.

The NCL Salten has run aground three times since 2023, each incident involving a different Norwegian coastal town.
