In Tampa, musician Prince Midnight has created the 'Skelecaster,' a fully functional guitar crafted from his late uncle Filip's skeleton. Filip, who died in a motorcycle accident in Greece in 1996, had his remains donated to science. After two decades, the bones were returned to the family, leading Midnight to honor his uncle's metal legacy by integrating the spine and ribcage into this unique instrument.

Midnight faced challenges in constructing the 'Skelecaster,' including reinforcing the spine with a metal bar to support the guitar neck. Despite initial skepticism from his mother, who deemed the project 'sacrilegious,' she conceded that Filip would prefer 'shredding' over resting in the ground. The guitar, while unconventional, produces a sound Midnight describes as 'awesome.'

The 'Skelecaster' has garnered international attention, with coverage from outlets like HuffPost and CBC, and even a tweet from comedian Jemaine Clement, highlighting its unique blend of music and macabre craftsmanship.
